This work is inspired by The Mushroom at the End of the World, which explores how mushrooms and human societies grow together in unpredictable ways. It looks at the shared life between fungi and people—how both survive through connection, decay, and unexpected growth.
The design imagines what it feels like to wander through a hallucinatory forest—like after eating a poisonous mushroom.Bright, shifting colours reflect this dreamlike, confusing state of mind. The costume mixes natural and artificial forms, showing a world where things constantly change and overlap.
Ground-reaching forms echo the mycorrhizal networks beneath the forest floor—silent, tangled, and alive. Blurring the line between organism and artefact, the costume suggests a world where nature and human life are deeply entangled, constantly changing, and never fully separate.
