This work presents a figure of an ancient Egyptian king, deliberately leaving the ruler’s gender undefined to allow space for viewer interpretation. The radiant yellow feathers and expansive forms symbolize sunlight and centralized power. A coiled cobra—blending into the structure—sits atop the piece, echoing the traditional symbol of protection and divine authority in pharaonic imagery. The eagle motif at the neck references the bird’s association with the sun god Re. The central form draws from the layered design of Egyptian column capitals, adding visual depth. Geometric earrings and stone details at the base enhance the raw, grounded quality of the work.
The colour palette is based on ancient Egyptian wall paintings and sculptures, using bold red, yellow, and green. Each hue carries symbolic meaning: red evokes danger and destruction, yellow represents perfection and the sun, and green signifies protection, healing, and joy—mirroring the values of ancient Egyptian belief.
